SINFONIETTA RĪGA and MATTHEW BARLEY
The Sinfonietta Riga chamber orchestra together with the virtuoso cellist Matthew Barley (Great Britain) will perform a concert program featuring the famous Austrian composer Heinz Karl Gruber's Concerto for Cello and Chamber Orchestras, known as one of the world's most difficult cello concertos. Also performed will be music from the young and talented Latvian composers Jēkabs Jančevskis, as well as American John Adam's piece Fearful Symmetries together with a silent film by Jérôme Bosc called Buster created especially for this composition.
