SINFONIETTA RĪGA STRING QUARTET AND SOPRANO EVIJA MARTINSONE IN TWO CONCERTS

How does the soul manifest its ethereal essence in this transient turmoil we call life? During two concerts - October 23, 6 P.M. at the Riga St.Peters church and  October 20, 7 P.M. at Liepaja concert hall "Great Amber" Sinfonietta Riga string quartet and soprano Evija Martinsone will take the audience on an existential journey of soul searching to find answers for this quest in two large volume compositions: Franz Scubert 14th string quartet "Der Tod und das Mädchen” - one of the most famous opuses rarely performed in Latvia, full of contrasts and poignant. Felix Mendelssohn's songs - brought together in unified piece by contemporary composer Aribert Reimann using contemporary soundscape “…oder soll es Tod bedeuten?” this piece will be performed for the first time in Latvia.
