Baiba Biezā was born in the heart of Vidzeme – in Cēsis town. From 1986 to 1994 she went to Priekuļu Secondary School and Alfrēds Kalniņš Cēsu Music School where she studied violin with teacher Imalda Pabiāna. From 1994 to 1999 she continued to study in the violin class of Alfrēds Kalniņš Cēsu Music College, taught by Imalda Pabiāna and Jānis Bulavs.
Baiba began her studies in Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music as a student of Jānis Bulavs, but for her master's studies from 2003 to 2005 she took string quartet class with professor Agne Sprūdža.
During her studies Baiba performed with youth symphony orchestras in Lund (Sweden) and Odense (Denmark) and participated in Vogler Quartet, Ysaÿe Quartet and Artis Quartet master classes. She has always kept the connection to her hometown as a member of Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra and Cēsis String Quartet. And, even though her student years are behind her, from time to time Baiba returns to her Alma Mater, Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music – now as a guest lecturer in the Department of String Instruments.
Baiba Biezā has been a second violinist at Sinfonietta Rīga since the orchestra was established in 2006. Sometimes, she is also among the musicians of Sinfonia Concertante orchestra.
Her favourite leisure activities are reading and crocheting, and especially – crime series.
