Florian Donderer has gained recognition as the concertmaster of the “Bremen German Chamber Philharmonic”, conducted by Paavo Järvi, as a talented chamber musician and the first violinist of the “Signum String Quartet”. His performance is renowned for its unique beauty and intensity of expression. He has conducted performances with the musicians of Sinfonietta Rīga multiple times. Last summer, they enchanted the sophisticated audience at the “Murten Classics” festival in Switzerland. This time the passionate tandem will enjoy a thrilling reunion in the Great Hall of the University of Latvia. This program will present masterpieces from different eras, united by their emotionally potent compositions and a gentle infusion of hope. Pēteris Vasks' meditation "Lonely Angel" for violin and string orchestra poignantly mourns our planet while affirming his love for it; Johann Sebastian Bach's sound art is rooted in profound faith; Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 2 delves into existential reflections; and Fanny Mendelssohn's “Overture”, though too rarely performed, is brimming with vibrant joy and captivating lyricism
